June 30, 2008

Saturday we ended our long weekend with the fantastic wedding of Rachael and Dave.  They were married at Blessed Sacrament Church and Park Inn held their reception.   I loved the color choice of bright pink and green, the whole wedding party looked great!  Rachael had a fabulous dress that looked stunning on her with her long veil, Dave looked very handsome in his tux!

Over all it was a great time, we had a lot of fun being part of your special day!

Enjoy the sneak peek…….

Katie + Mike = I Do

June 28, 2008

Friday June 27th Katie and Mike tied the knot at St Stephens church in Toledo and had a beautiful reception at Cambridge Place on Alexis.  It was pretty hot yesterday but their whole bridal party were troopers and went along for some outside photographs :)  It was a beautiful ceremony and a fantastic Arch of Sabers exit from the church.  Katie looked Fabulous and Mike looked quite nice in his uniform.  We had a lot of fun being a part of your wedding day, and from the looks of all your friends and family in photos, I think everyone had a great time :)

They were another one of our couples who saw each other before the ceremony, which worked out great because with only a 1/2 hour between the ceremony and reception they wouldn’t have had time to travel to any locations after the church :)

I wanted to put up a sneak peek before we head off to another wedding today :)

Enjoy!

We hope you enjoyed your sneak peek, we enjoyed being a part of your day!

comments = happy photographers :)

Kellen and Jason……….. Put in Bay

June 28, 2008

On Thursday we traveled via the Jet Express to Put in Bay, South Bass Island for Kellen and Jason’s wedding.  It was a small quaint affair, but it was beautiful.  Although the weather was a little warm, the rain held off so they could have their ceremony by the water.

We had a great time and thank you for letting us be part of your special day.

Here is a sneak peek….. Enjoy!

Have a great reception back home in Illinois tonight and good luck on the move cross country :)

Furbaby Portraits

June 25, 2008

Here are a few photos from some recent session.  These are a little different because they are portraits of your pets.  This is something new we are beginning to offer, because we know (from experience) that your animals are part of your family and for some they are your children.  So why should they miss out on getting a great portrait done?!

We will have more information soon about these, but feel free to contact us in the mean time to get the scoop.

Enjoy …….

comments make us smile :)

June 23, 2008

On Friday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Alysha and I had a blast!  Alysha is an aspiring model and stunningly beautiful at that so what better gift for a boyfriend to get her then a photography session :)

Jamal surprised her with this session for her birthday, he contacted me and set it all up with out her knowing until the day of, what a great surprise!

Here is a sneak peek, and if you are an aspiring model or just want a more fashion forward type of shoot (I am a fashion magazine junkie as well as America’s next top model :) ) give me a call  and we can set something up :)

Enjoy……

I thought I would throw in a few of Jamal as well…..

Annie and Jake Trash the Dress……… :)

June 20, 2008

Thursday we met up with Annie and Jake (they got married on May 31st) and we trashed their dress.  Annie loves photographs, they were one of our couples to see each other before the ceremony to allow more time for photography and she wanted more and some that she wasn’t willing to do on her wedding day :)

Here is a sneak peek, we had so much fun!

Can you see why she didn’t want to do some of these on her wedding day :)

These two are very similar but I love them both (and yes they were both done on purpose.)

Who’s next ?  :)

Oh and all you seniors keep in mind we can do something like this with your prom dresses as well :)

Trisha + Kyle = Happily ever after

June 18, 2008

Saturday we photographed Trisha and Kyle’s wedding at Brandywine Country Club.  This was our first time working at Brandywine and we can’t wait to go back later this year :)  I loved everything about this wedding, the peacock feathers, the colors, the fact that Trisha, Kyle and all their family and friends were so much fun to be around.  Their cupcake tower was deliciously appealing, her bright purple shoes were fun and we love when couples see each other before the wedding :)

I think Trisha looked stunning and I love how her whole face lights up when Kyle makes her laugh and vice versa.

We also had the pleasure of working with Class Act (which we love).

The cupcakes were from Buggy Whip Bakery.

And I recommend Brandywine as well, Autumn and the rest of their staff was a pleasure to work with.

Here is a sneak peek….. Enjoy!

I love the one in the middle of Trisha laughing :)  fav!

Oh and I forgot to mention they had a mariachi band during dinner :)

We hope you had a fantastic honeymoon!

As always we love blog comments :)

Little Sprouts Academy

June 14, 2008

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Christy from Little Sprouts academy earlier this year at the Toledo Baby Show and I was very impressed, so I wanted to feature them on our blog.

Here is my interview with her:

A little about your business:

Little Sprouts Academy is a licensed daycare in West Toledo.  We offer an advanced curriculum, college-educated instructors, all meals, and best of all peace of mind with our live internet webcams for parents to view anytime!

How did you get started in this field?

Working with children has always been rewarding for me.  Also, I wanted the chance to own a business that really cared about the well-being of both our customers and our employees.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love when the children run up to show me what they did with their instructor that day and they have a big smile on their face.  The children really love our program and it touches my heart to know I helped contribute to make that happen.

When someone comes into your shop or hires your services, what should they expect?

Clients will get a safe and clean daycare center that truly cares about the well-being of their children as well as their family.  We get to know our parents on a more personal level, and we try to exceed all expectations they have of us.  We also work one-on-one with them to offer added flexibility and care for different developmental needs which many centers lack.

What makes you different from other people in your field?

I know that most people in the childcare field say they love kids, which makes us all the same.  What makes me different is the drive and dedication to provide an extremely rewarding environment for each child, and the peace of mind through our webcams for the parents.

What is one piece of advice you would give all your clients/customers/readers?

Do a lot of research before you choose a daycare center.  There are so many questions to ask to ensure you are getting quality.  For example, many people don’t think to ask about staff/child ratios in a center.  This can be extremely important as it shows how individualized care will be for your child.

Now a little about you:

What is your favorite restaurant in Toledo?

El Camino Real on the corner of Douglas and Sylvania.

What is your favorite band or type of music to listen to?

I like all kinds.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Hmmm….I can’t think of a guilty pleasure.  I do love chocolate.

What is one goal you have this year?

To expand our daycare into a new building in West Toledo We are working on this right now actually!

What is something people might be surprised to know about you?

I speak some Russian and play the French Horn.

What is something you think is beautiful?

Blue skies and sunshine in Toledo, Ohio. J

What is your best feature?

My sense of humor.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Keep trying to reach your goal, but never compromise your personal ethics and morals.

What is one question you would add to this for other professional to answer?

What do you hope to add to our community?

Now answer it yourself :)

I hope to add a place where working parents can rest assured their child is in great care, as well as a place where employees truly enjoy working.
