Emily and Josh say I DO!

April 26, 2008

Yesterday we had the privilege of photographing Emily and Josh’s wedding.  It turned out to be a beautiful day in April and luckily no rain :)

Emily had a gorgeous dress from Gallipos and she looked stunning in it.  The ceremony was great and Emily’s brother sang during it which was fabulous!!!!!

The reception was at Sunrise Banquet hall on Woodville.  We had such a good time, here is a sneak peek….

Enjoy!

Lisa and Jeff - I DO!

April 20, 2008

Yesterday Joe and I had the pleasure of photographing Lisa and Jeff’s wedding at St Paul’s Church.  They are such a great couple and their whole bridal party and family were so much fun to be around.  We had a blast and it was a gorgeous wedding.  Here is a little sneak peek, I haven’t even begun looking through all the photos we took yesterday.

The reception was a tamaron country club (which we love!)

Flowers were from Glendale Florists (which does amazing work)

I hope you two have a great time on your honeymoon and enjoy the sneak peek….

The onelight workshop ROCKED!

April 18, 2008

Yesterday I went to the one light workshop in Detroit it was awesome.  It started at 10 in the morning and we finished shooting at midnight and then went back to the house to discuss some of the images and talked till 1:15 when I had to leave so I could make it home :)

Zack was an awesome teacher of this workshop check out his blog here.

This workshop is all about off camera lighting, and as most of you know I have been an available light shooter most the time, but the off camera lighting gives me options, it doesn’t mean I am going to ditch the available light it just means I can give you all  a lot more options with your photos!

Here are some photos from the workshop:

This is the whole crew and zack!

Here are a few of my photos from the day:

Can you believe that these next few were taken at 11:00 at night in an abandon parking lot next to a old building?

And then here are a few with available light, because I still love available light :)

So like I said before expect a lot more cool stuff this year with Shutter Love, we are going to be offering some things that you can’t get anywhere else in town.  (Like our children’s alphabet books, those are a ShutterLove original :) )

Congrats Sal’s Pals

April 13, 2008

We like to donate our time or our services to things that we feel are good causes.  That is why we donated a gift certificate to the Sal’s Pals auction that took place on Saturday night.  And Sunday I received this great email

Hey there!  Thank you all that helped support Sal’s Pals.  We appreciate all that you do for us.  We are SOOO happy to announce that last night’s event made $63,500.00.  Our event raises the most money in the area, and we are in the top 20 in the country!   People were so generous last night, the Pinardo’s are all very grateful.

We are so thrilled that everyone was so generous!

To find out more about Sal’s Pals go here:http://www.salspals.com//

We have in the past donated time to other events such as Race for the Cure and don’t forget our October Family Portrait month that we will be doing again this October.  This is where we offer a special rate for family portraits that take place in October and a portion of the session fee goes to Operation Smile which is an organization that help children who were born with cleft palette.  And like last year we plan on matching all the contributions brought in by these sessions :)  So mark your calendars, october is always a good time for another family portrait :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend and it’s off to IKEA on monday :)
