Danya and Karlis

June 27, 2006

We had a great engagement session yesterday with Danya and Karlis in Bowling Green. We went to the City Park, Howard’s bar and in the Downtown area. Karlis was a little nervous in front of the camera at first because he feels like he “isn’t photogenic”, but we got him smiling and relaxing. We got a ton of great images and had lots of laughs while doing it. We look forward to their wedding in October.  It should be a blast!

Here are a few images from yesterday.

Engagement or Bridal Session

June 22, 2006

These sessions usually last about two hours and take place at a couple locations of your choice (and we have favorite places to recommend if you need ideas.)

Engagement sessions are done with the couple before the wedding.  They can be a couple months before in-case you want some pictures to display at showers.   There usually consist of two to three wardrobe changes, casual and semi dressy to dressy depending on your style. We will help you show the love you have for each other in a variety of artistic and classic poses.

Bridal sessions are done with the bride only, in her wedding dress.  The benefit of this session is that it helps you get those gorgeous shots in your beautiful dress that you have always wanted without taking extra time on your wedding day.   We recommend that you do them on the same day that you have a trial run of hair and makeup, this way you will have a similar look to your wedding day.

Give us a call or email and book your appointment today.

Save-the-Dates : ideas

June 20, 2006

There are so many creative ways to send save-the-dates to your guests.  I have posted a few options that I thought were cute and not too hard to do.

Save-the-dates are the first thing your guest will see to show them the style of your wedding, so make them personalized and have them reflect the theme and color of your wedding.

Why send a save-the-date? These are sent out before the invitations to inform the guest of the date and location of your wedding.  It is especially beneifical for out-of-town guests who will need to make travel plans.

What's on a save-the-date? You will want your names and wedding date printed on the cards along with the location (at least the city and state).  You can also include seperate information on hotels, airfare, any planned events and transportation in the envelope.  This way your guest will be able to arrange their travel plans and book hotels at the best rates possible.

Most importantly have fun with your Save-the Date.

We can also help you design a personalized save the date with photographs from your engagement session.

Below is an example of a design that we can do for you:

(for those who know Cindy and Brian this is not a real save the date for them it is just an example of some of the work we can do.  As you know they have not set a date yet.)

I have also included some examples of other ways that you can make save-the-dates if you don't want to go with photographs.

Christine and Steve

June 16, 2006

This post is a little late since they got married on May 20th.

We were not their photographer, I look forward to seeing their official wedding photos though because their photographer seemed to do a very nice job.

I had to post some of my images to share with you what a great time we had at their wedding. Christine was so beautiful and you can tell how in love they are. Although it wasn't too hard to tell how in love they were when I first met them both freshman year of college. As soon as I met them in 2000 I knew that they were going to get married.

Here are a few of our images from their wedding day.

Cindy and Brian

June 12, 2006

We did an engagement session yesterday with one of my favorite couples. I have known Cindy and Brian since Junior High School and I still remember the Washington DC trip in 8th grade when they first started dating.

The photo shoot was a blast! We went downtown to Promenade Park and along the river then to the beautiful Museum for a wonderful time full of laughs.

I have included a small preview of some of the images from yesterday. Once you see these photos there is no doubt about how much these two love each other.

Enjoy! (the slideshow will follow soon in the next couple days so stay tuned)
